Current tech projects:

Here is a list of some of my current tech projects:
  • Put Skype on my usb key so I can access skype from any computer I may be at.
  • Write a small web app for our monthly poker game so we can keep track of it easily. I'm going to use php and mysql.
  • I'm getting into some in-depth css. I'm learning how to eliminate tables completely from my websites.
  • Further Tivo hacking to allow divx movies to be played directly on the Tivo without the need for re-encoding on the PC end.
  • When I get a wii, I'm going to use the wii-mote to control my Frontrow on a PPC mac (which was a project in itself).
  • I want to install beryl on an ubuntu box.
  • This isn't really a tech project, but I want an invite for Joost!
Here are a few tech projects that I recently completed:
  • Installed frontrow on a PPC mac
  • Hacked the Tivo to play things other than Tivo files, and automated my video podcast delivery system
  • Using Skype for our complete telephony solution at home using Tracey's normal cordless phone. (the only functionality it doesn't have is 911. However I programmed the police to be speed dial 91, and the hospital 92, and the fire department to be 93)
I'm sure there's more, but that's all I want to type right now.
